In the Beginning...

Recognizing the need for rapid-response service to hydraulic hose failure, Pirtek launched into business in 1980. Initially operating in Sydney, Australia, Pirtek provided custom hose assemblies and fittings products and services primarily to customers in the earthmoving, construction, materials handling and manufacturing industries.

By 1985, the founders blended the expanding but loose-knit distributor network operating within the Pirtek guidelines into a unified, dynamic force - the Pirtek Franchise System.

Today, the Pirtek System is one of the most successful franchised business systems in its countries of operation- England, Australia, Belgium, Luxemburg, Holland, New Zealand, Asia, South Africa, Ireland, Germany and France -due to economic success, high standards of service and innovative marketing.

Pirtek USA chose the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota for its first USA pilot center. The Minneapolis/St. Paul store opened in 1996. Within 9 months, a second location was added to meet the growing demand.

Pirtek USA president Morgan Arundel chose Rockledge, Florida for the corporate headquarters. Pirtek USA now has 32 centers open in the United States. Pirtek plans to develop more than 350 franchised locations throughout the USA.
